Alexandria, VA – The Health Industry Distributors Association is pleased to announce the formation of the Supplier Diversity Council, a new group providing networking and learning opportunities for diverse distributors, manufacturers, and other supply chain partners.
“This new council will facilitate the exchange of ideas and communication among distributors, manufacturers, GPOs, and IDNs to help address key issues unique to supply businesses owned by women, minorities, veterans, and members of the LGBTQ community,” said council co-chairs Andrea Ruebel-Walker with Kerma Medical Products and Mara Maddocks with MAC Medical.
“HIDA is committed to supporting supplier diversity,” said HIDA President & CEO Matt Rowan. “This new council creates a networking forum for the diverse supplier community, further strengthening our nation’s supply chain.”
The council’s charter meeting will be held in March during HIDA’s Executive Conference, an event for leaders involved in healthcare distribution, manufacturing, group purchasing, and related services.
