HIDA Forms New Environmental Services Council
Alexandria, VA, April 5, 2022 – The Health Industry Distributors Association announces the formation of the Environmental Services Council. HIDA launched the council to provide networking and learning opportunities for member companies that manufacture and distribute environmental services supplies and equipment into healthcare facilities across the healthcare continuum.
“Environmental services contribute to improving patient care and saving lives every day,” said Council Chair Joel Rich with GOJO Healthcare. “Having a safe, clean, clinical environment is important in each and every healthcare setting, ranging from homecare to hospitals, and everything in between.”
Environmental services have always been an integral part of patient care and the COVID-19 pandemic amplified their importance. This new council will facilitate an open dialogue among distributors, manufacturers, providers, GPOs, and IDNs to advance the field.
“HIDA is committed to strengthening the healthcare supply chain by creating networking forums such as the Environmental Services Council,” said HIDA President and CEO Matthew J. Rowan.
The council’s charter meeting will be held in April. For more information on how to get involved with the new Environmental Services Council, please contact HIDA’s Senior Director of Membership, Kelley Taft, Taft@HIDA.org.
